I’m not going to do your homework for you, but I will give you a few hints. I think you need to use a little bit of common sense in order to answer these questions. Black cars will "absorb" infrared radiation, making them hot, while white cars (opposite of absorb). If your skin "reflected" the sunlight, will you tan? No. Radio and other devices transmit and receive information. I think this should be enough for you to figure this out.

a stray cat has adopted us.?
now the wife feeds it! now the cat does not come into the house so it really hasn’t completely moved in but i have two issues.
first, she feeds it twice a day. let’s face it. it’s a stray and we are probably not the only people feeding it. and even if we are, it got along fine before we moved here (sorry, we just moved here). won’t it get sick if it’s over fed. not to mention, if it’s eating mice, won’t it stop eating mice.
second, it might have fleas, or some other disease or parasite. do i take it to the vet? then what? keep it inside, or let it go out to get fleas tomorrow?
should we stop feeding it? should we ignore it? scare it away? take it in? keep doing what we are doing? take it to a farm? take it to the pound?
ijdk (i just don’t know).
you have two responsible options
1) catch the cat and take it to the pound. Cats carry many diseases and parasites, the life of a fed feral is not a good nor long one. Yes it may be put to sleep but better then run over by car, mauled by a dog or dying from disease/infection
2) take it to the vet, have it checked for feline aids, leukemia, worm it, desex it, and keep it either in a cat run or in the house so it doesnt wander or die from options mentioned in 1.
The choice is yours. It is probably an abandoned house pet and if you decide to keep it cats will learn to be inside only cats. Yes even the hardest of them gets used to it if you put your foot down and then refuse the leave the lap of luxury LOL
Up to you what you want to do. But feeding strays is a no no.

If you just moved there, and the cat has ‘adopted’ you, it is very possible that the prior owners to your home just decided to leave their pet. Sad, but it happens. If that is the case, and you are not adverse to having a pet, the best thing to do would be to have it checked over by a vet, and adopt it in turn. It is no fault of the cat’s that it was left to fend for itself. Also, ask around. Talk to your neighbors, and find out what they know about the animal. It could be one of theirs, or they could know who it does belong to. In most cases if a cat does have a home, it won’t take food from ’strangers’, unless it is VERY lost.

Well, do not take it to the pound. There are many no-kill shelters around and I’m sure you can find one in your area. See if there is a Humane Society near your area if you don’t want to keep it.
If you do want to keep the cat and since it is an outdoor cat already, you can go ahead and start treating the cat with Frontline Plus. That kills fleas & ticks and anything that jumps on them and tries to feed on them will die because the chemical gets into the cat’s bloodstream. You can buy this on-line because you can probably get a better price. You can repeat this treatment every 21 days if the cat already has fleas/ticks. For the first couple of months after being treated with the Frontline Plus, it may be ok to bring it into the house, but if you have an area like a garage that the cat can stay in until the Frontline Plus starts working would be nice so that the cat doesn’t stay outdoors. It’s not just fleas that you have to worry about as much as coyotes and big birds that will kill the cat if given the chance. Even racoons have been known to attack & kill cats, so it’s much better to put them in a safe area like a garage.
Now that your wife has started feeding the cat, it’s going to want to hang around. We had a stray that kept going from one house to another and we wouldn’t see him for months at a time, but everytime he came back to us, he was skinny and beat up, so we’d feed him and fatten him back up only for him to leave again. The last time he came back skinny again and looked like he had been in a few cat fights, so we made him a bed and put it on our deck and kept feeding him and this time he stayed. Unfortunately, the day before Halloween in 2005, he started to get sick and quit eating. I knew the signs of the illness so I took him to the vet on Halloween morning and sure enough, he had Feline Leukemia so he had to be put to sleep. We buried him in our back yard. I think he knew he was sick and came to our house to die because we were the ones that treated him so well and we pet him all of the time, gave him lots of attention and fed him, so I think his instinct told him that we would give him a dignified place and means to die - and we did.
Anyway, good luck with the cat if you decide to keep it. Just start treating it with the Frontline Plus and find a place he can stay that won’t infest your home. Consult a vet on what to do from there.

Wireless route versus hardwired connection.?
I recently switched to a cable modem and a wireless modem for our home network. The laptop connects and runs faster with the wireless connection than the desktop using a wired connection. Usually it’s the opposite - the wired connection runs faster than the wireless. The desktop has 2GB of RAM and the laptop only has 500MB of RAM. The desktop has a 2.66 GHz processor and the laptop has a Celeron 1.4 GHz processor. Something is definitely wrong. Any suggestions?
Which OS is it running on ? If you reinstall the OS on the desktop it will run better. Normally hard wire is a better connection cause it’s a 100 MBPS full duplex Vs wireless is only 54 MBPS half duplex.

In that order. If it’s still slow, replace the cable and clean the connection points. Blow the dust out of the tower. If it still is slow on the internet connection then reinstall the OS from scratch.

Plot: The coroner and scientist Dr. Warren Chapin (Vincent Price) is researching the shivering effect of fear with his assistant David Morris (Darryl Hickman). Dr. Warren is introduced to Ollie Higgins (Philip Coolidge), the relative of a criminal sentenced to the electric chair, while making the autopsy of the corpse, and he makes a comment about the tingler-effect to him. Ollie asks for a lift to Dr. Warner, and introduces his deaf-mute wife Martha Higgins (Judith Evelyn), who manages a theater of their own. There is a user here who continuously asks for help , he is at times suicidal, now he is asking?

He told me he was going to stab himself in the chest, he was suicidal, and made up a whole bunch of stories, about being from Sweden, being adopted by black people, who kept him drugged on a weird drug, and kept him prisoner, it is all BS, forget about it…

the thing with the internet and sites like this is that there’s always a chance that people will use them for manipulating other people. Now I’m not saying that this is what this man is doing, but at the same time keep an eye out for trolls. If he does seriously believe all this stuff he is saying, then he definately does need help…what would Yahoo do? I’m stumped to be honest, sorry for the useless answer.

Plot: In the near future, the worst ghettos of Paris, France are literally walled off and among the worst is District B13. Controlled by the ruthless crime lord, Taha, a young righteous punk named Leito is determined to bring him down. When the boss retaliates by kidnapping his sister, Lola, a rescue attempt by Leito is destroyed by betrayal that gets him arrested and Lola kept in the clutches in Taha. Six months later, a crackerjack undercover cop named Damien is given a urgent mission: a neutron bomb has been stolen by Taha in District B13 which has an automatic timer function engaged and set to detonate in less than 24 hours. Questions about track………….?
I’m in 7th grade and this will be my first track season. Are my times bad?
100m-14.5 seconds
200m-32 sec.
400m 1:12 -1:18
And I will probably run relays not sure which yet.
If those times are bad what are some ways I can get faster? Our school is almost always district champs, if not we usually come in 2nd, so we train HARD. I will also do long jump but right now I have a horrible jump distance (11.1) I know its bad so how can I jump farther our first meet is February 12th I think so I know I dont have alot of time. Also what track shoes do you reccomend? And overall what else can I do to help me get ready for track I wanna win!

Also when I run the 400m the lines on the lanes like start moving and I know its not really happening but thats what I end up seeing. How can I fix that problem. It is what really slowing me down on the 400m. Also last year we had like a mini track meet intermural thingy and I got 1st in the 400m, 5th in the 400m relay(I picked bad relay partners and by the time I relized they werent that fast I didnt wanna hurt their feelings and say they cant run with me), 3rd in the 1mile relay, 5th in the 800m (very hot day and was just finishing my 400m so i was feeling sick I think I could have done better)
I also live in texas where it gets really hot around track season so dont tell me to stop complaining about how hot it is cause I also play summer fastpitch softball and I get used to the heat but some times I have problems with getting sick from the heat its not something I can control
STOP it w/ the excuses if u wanna do sports don’t complain about them. it being to hot so on. and what i do when the lines annoy me thing happens is i ignore them. and ur times arent bad for a 7th grade girl. keep up hard work.

Alright for a 13 yr old ur times are great. Im 16 an altho i run long distance on my track team ur times r almost up to mine. MY 100m i can run a 12sec, MY 200m sprinting most of it was a 26.3sec, an my 400m 59sec which for a long distance person i can do really good. But you have some great talent there kiddo keep up ur good work.
