The true story behind "The Amityville Horror"?
I know the movie is based on a true story, but I also know that most horror films that are usually exaggerate just about everything to an unbelievable level (as seen in The Exorcist, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc). I just saw the 1979 version of The Amityville Horror the other night, and I thought it was pretty interesting because of the fact that it’s supposed to be true. But my question is - what about it was really true, and what wasn’t? What’s the REAL story behind the house?
The movie is based on the book which was done detail-by-detail from the occupants of the house, so the only way to know is to ask them. During an interview I saw, they wouldn’t describe what wasn’t in the movie because they couldn’t bear to relive it one more time…so "Read the book.". That should tell you all you need to know.
Part II was about a well-documented true story where a teen went crazy and murdered his family. Of course whether he was possessed by demons is "unknown", but the ultimate incident did indeed happen.

On arrival at the hotel, he meets physicist Prof. Max Stratman. They have a pleasant conversation and agree to meet for drinks the next day. When they meet again however, the Professor acts as if he’s never met Craig. With his propensity for partying and drinking too much, Craig doesn’t have a great deal of credibility with his hosts, including the person assigned to him by the Swedish Foreign Ministry, Inger Lisa Andersson. An attempt on Craig’s life and a chance encounter at a local hospital provides the evidence he needs however.

Plot: In an abandoned house, detective Louis Burke confronts a maniac called the Sandman. Although the Sandman nearly kills Burke, Burke manages to stop him with a bullet. As it turns out, the prisoners are being murdered for their body organs. Back on the outside, Beckett attends a party given by Vogler, the state’s attorney general. Just as she’s preparing to tell him about the murders at the prison, Beckett receives a call from her assistant, who identifies Vogler’s henchman Keane as the man behind the murders, which also involve Dr. Gottesman, the surgeon who harvests the organs to be sold to people who are in desperate need of them. The assistant’s suspicions are confirmed when Vogler tries to kill Beckett. Burke begins an escape from the penitentiary, pursued by the Sandman and hundreds of angry inmates who have been set free and armed with the knowledge that Burke is a cop. Burke and the Sandman have brutal showdown in which Burke tries to get the Sandman out of the way so he can go after Vogler, Keane, and Gottesman.

today is my brothers honor night at school where he recieves a reward for having a really high gpa. (grade point average) so then today around 5 we were all getting ready dessing up and preparing to recieve a award for my lill bro and my f*ckin dad went to pick him up from tuturing
and then when they got home we were all ready to capture the big moment for my bro when he recieves his award on stage then my brother started whinning like he did’nt wanna wear this and that then my mom started picking out his clothes and then my dad was their in the living room talking to my grandpa about some news stuff and then my dad has some buisness problems going on then he started yelling and screaming and started hiting me cuz i was talking to my brother and just kidding around with him and then i got up set and said im not going then my dad started yelling and saying really mean stuff to then i went to my room like felt like crying and then my dad was yelling about his liquior store business how it’s going bad and how it his affecting him and he keeps his problems only to himself and no one elese and then my mom was upset that now he’s not going and and now only my mom and my brother went to recieve the award like i mean this is suppoesed to be his happiest night cuz he worked very hard to maintain a gpa of higher than 3.5 and my dad says no one cares thats not good and says really mean stuff and everything just got screwed up and now i wish we could all start all over again and i know that time aqaits for no one and how can i enjoy my life i feel like killing my whole family

Wow, that sounds pretty rough sweetheart. I know I myself have had a bad childhood but I can tell you one thing from the experience. It will pass. Soon your life will be better. All you can do right now is be the best that you can be. Ignore your father and just try to do avoid his anger. Get good grades in school and then when it’s over you can go away to a college or join the military. God has great plans for you dear. I know it’s very hard right now but it will get better. Im soo sorry that you are having to deal with this! It sucks when someone takes their problems out on you and its not right. I dont know how to solve your dads problems, but I hope he never ever hits you again. Try talking to your mom about it and a counselor at school. I know talking a counselor is scary (at least I think it is). I needed to go to one because I get depressed and anxious sometimes, so I went to my college counselor. It was really helpful and she made me understand how to deal with my situations better. I hope you dont mean it about killing your family..thats not your place to take someone elses life and it shouldnt be said lightly. Maybe try and get involved in some after school activities so you arent home as much, or get a job. (you could play soccer-and your brother could do this too…go to a painting class..volunteer..etc.). I know that you might think your father doesnt care but look at all the people who have reached out to you just through this post-not everyone is like your father. <3

Heres the situation- Apparently this nerdy type kid in my consumer class, tyler, filed a bully report on me. Although i just joke around with my friend jason with him.

If he reported you for bullying, I’m betting you pissed the **** out of him more than once or twice. If he’s not part of your guy friends, why do you think he appreciates your humor? I’m glad you have come to realize that your actions are hurtful.
Tell your principal the truth. It’s like pleading guilty before you go to trial for a crime you have, indeed, committed.. You get off easier if you plead guilty than if you have to actually to through the trial process.
But this approach will only work once. If you antagonize anyone in the future, you’re not going to be able to get away with your ’sincere’ contrition.

Where does the energy come from?
Imagine an iron cube with a weight of 1N on the floor. It has zero gravitational potential energy (GPE). If I lift it 1m up, it will have 1J of GPE, and I will have done at least 1J of work in order to lift the block. However if I use a fixed magnet fixed 1m above the ground (NOT an electromagnet) and the block is lifted up 1m the block gains 1J of energy, but the magnet has not done any work. Where does the energy come from as it can neither be created nor destroyed as we all know.
Why wouldn’t the magnet have done any work. It must be exerting a force on the cube in order to lift it. Since work = force x distance, and there is a force and distance traveled, then work is done.

Plot: STEFFEN VOGT, aged around 25, is helping out at a German archeological excavation in Israel when he finds a 2,000-year-old skeleton holding the instructions for a video camera dating from the year 2003. The bones also show traces of the present day. His theory of a time-traveler who made a video of Jesus is laughed at by everyone, however, including SHARON, an attractive Israeli woman he adores. Although no one appears to believe him, his find certainly seems to have generated interest: Steffen is attacked shortly afterwards in his hotel room by strange men; then he discovers that the German embassy and the secret service are after him; and when his friend DAN is murdered, he goes into hiding. His only true ally is Sharon. Steffen’s theory seems to be correct: financier and time-travel expert KAUN turns up at the excavations in person and carries out several elaborate subterranean measurements at the Wailing Wall # where he believes the camera has been hidden. He is assisted by the head of the excavation, Professor WILFORT. Steffen suspects that Kaun is one of the people hunting for him and remains in hiding. Assisted by Sharon and her jealous boyfriend YEHOSHUA, he manages to steal a letter from the time traveler that contains coded instructions on how to find the video. Mopar Mike maybe you should reread your history. It was actually whites who were living in caves and trees before civilization was introduced to them from Africa. Timbuktu was the first organized commerce trade center. The Black African Muslim Moors occupied Europe for 800 years and brought them out of the "Dark Ages" by introducing modern civilization to their backwards lives. Egypt had cities with streets and plumbing when caucasians were crapping in dirt holes and wiping their butts with leaves (or their hands…and that’s if they wiped at all). He was drunk already when i got home from work yesterday. I only reallies that when i woke him up. Biggest mistake. From there we had a fight… First he start calling me a ho re, and all other names. My 4year old watch every thing from the corner. Then when he went over to her, i felt i had to protect her from him (not her farther). He told her what a bad person i am. And i got upset because he drag her into all of this. He hit me in the face (i do have the marks), when i kick him in the balls… Even biggest mistake…. He then hit me till i fell on the floor, when i stand up and tried to protect myself, he grab me by my neck from the back… And said he is going to break my neck. People who see what he was doing tried to get him off me. But couldn’t at first. They had to grab him by his neck and choke him before he took his hands away from my neck…. My 4y old was screaming by then. Some one took her away from there in the meantime. What charges can i open against this man?
How can somebody grab your neck from the back and break my neck. Please correct that first in the question itself. And you need a lot of editing for this story to reach a conclusion,

well definitely assault and battery, Threats and intimidation, Disorderly conduct, and property damage if he punched a wall or broke something… there may be more but that’s what i can think of.

I think you know that you have to get out of that relationship. You need to protect you and your child. No one should touch like your partner did. You can have him charged with assault and battery. And for your sake and your child’s sake do it. Your daughter needs to know that you called the police on him. Your daughter needs to know that a man cannot abuse a woman. If you don’t call the police and if you let this ride then your daughter will believe that it’s okay to be abused by a man. And when she gets older then she will get involved with an abuser. You need to protect you and your daughter. You need to make sure that you are both safe.

Open a can of worms on his ass girlfriend. What I want you to do:
GET YOUR DAUGHTER AND YOURSELF OUT OF THERE ASAP ( this can cause trauma later in life for children. If she starts having nightmares you need to take her to a child psychologist as soon as possible)
Talk to your daughter about what happened. Set her straight. She needs to know what what he did was wrong and that YOU her MOMMY is not going to let that happen again. You are her guardian, her rock, and you seeing you beaten like that can leave a permanent imprint in her mind. She is probably very very scared and she should be. More than anything talk to her like you would a 12 year old. Kids are much smarter and can understand much more than you think and if you don’t she will get a warped sense of what occurred.
Call a lawyer that has a good record for cases of Domestic Violence. Quite honestly you can sue him for so much girly. Assault, battery, attempted murder, Emotional trauma for you and your child, In my opinion that sounds like child endangerment to me as well, what ever you sue for make sure its for FELONY. But right now. TAKE PICTURES of any bruises sustained on you or your daughter. I really hope you got names and numbers of eye witnesses. Just get in contact with a lawyer ASAP!!!!! And call the cops, dude needs to be arrested.
lastly, I know its hard, but you have to be strong for your daughter. Try as hard as you can to return to an everyday routine. Pamper yourself, go out and get your nails done or hair cut and colored. Don’t pray for things to change, change them yourself. If I were you I would buy a bundle of sage and smudge( smudging is the act of cleansing your home with the smoke from sage or holly, look it up on google) your entire house, your daughter ( help her smudge you or have a close friend or family join the circle) your car, ANYTHING that could hold any sort of pain or aggression needs to be thoroughly smudged. It will erase all the bad energy and replace it with happy and good.

Physical assault. You’ve got the witnesses, now press the charges.
Plus get a restraining order against him & make sure to never EVER go back with him. Every minute you spend with him is another minute where your daughter becomes more likely to get into a relationship where she will be beaten & abused.
Do the right thing for your daughter- don’t go back with this man & don’t believe anything he tells you. He will tell you that he’ll change, but he’s lying. Besides, do you really want to put your life in jeopardy if he hasn’t? He will kill you & maybe even your daughter.
