I'd be thankful if someone could take the time to give me advice?
I’ve been going out with a man for 7 months now, but recently I felt that he’s no longer into me that much and that the relationship is dead. In the past two weeks, I have met him once, and he’s only got in contact with me when I’ve initiated. However, in the past 5 days, the only contact I’ve had with him was one very generic "hey, how are you" text messages. I sent him a message again yesterday, and he hasn’t replied, though I know he has used him phone because he updated his facebook status from him phone.
Basically, the relationship is dead, but not officially over. I can’t go on like this wasting my life away waiting for him to get in contact. He won’t reply to me in order for me to tell him this, though I’m hesitant just to send him a text telling him its over in case he really does have a genuine excuse for not getting in touch, such as my phone isn’t receiving his texts.
What would you do if you were in my shoes? Would you send him one last text saying "I take it that you’re no longer into me. sorry this hasn’t worked out" etc or should I just ignore him?
Thank you for answering (:
And what would be a respectable time before I begin going steady with someone else (because there is someone who I’ve been getting on with really well the past few days at work, while i’ve been waiting on the above to get his act together)
Well if he cant be bothered ???
I would just carry on with your life an the other guy !!!

Why does everyone text? If he is your boyfriend, call him! If he doesn’t answer, leave a message, I am sure he has a home phone too? Stop texting and get personal. Call him and ask him what is up. If you don’t reach him, then send him an email, or message on facebook (somewhere you know he will get it) and tell him you need to talk, and then figure out what is going on. Its frustrating I am sure, and it sucks to have to go through this. But give him a call.
Jade | Jan 28, 2010
how about just move on and don’t worry about someone who isn’t worrying about you
WifeandMom | Jan 28, 2010
nah, you gotta take the upper hand here and stop letting him jerk you around.. i wouldn’t send him anything, i wouldn’t call him, i would just forget him. move on honey, life is way to short to waste your time on someone who is not showing interest. if this other guy is interested, and you are interested in him,, go for that one and let this other one alone. who knows why he hasn’t called you, and really who cares, you shouldn’t.. his phone is working obviously, and he has time to log on to his facebook, so he has had time to call you, or send you a text, and he hasn’t..i would accept that as a very clear sign that he’s over it, so you need to leave it where it is..
justlisa72 | Jan 28, 2010
Life is tooo short to be wasting your time on him…if there is real excuse he hasn’t contacted you then he should have been man enough to call or text and let you know….since he hasn’t done that yes, I would send him that exact message you put and get on with your life and enjoy and have fun….you are not married to him so you owe him nothing more….maybe that’s what he has done and is just not man enough to face you to tell you….good luck!!!!
just my opinion | Jan 28, 2010
I understand your need for either a reason or for closure but, in all honesty, if it was me I’d not attempt to contact him. The ball is in his court.
I wouldn’t wait around for him either. Just move on, go about the business of living your life. Unless you two had an understanding of exclusivity, you owe him no explanation. He’s clearly not giving you one. Calling or texting him any more makes you appear desperate or needy, and I don’t get the impression that you are.
If he does contact you later with a reason for his distant behavior, be a friend and listen. Decide at that point if his excuse is reasonable and truthful and if a relationship with him is worth pursuing.
I’d be thankful that whatever has happened has happened now–you’re still not permanently tied to him and your heart can still heal. Besides, you’ve got another love interest in the wings. Go ahead and give that guy a shot and have a nice time. Good luck!
DJ | Jan 28, 2010
Sorry to say if you have been down to only seeing the guy once in two weeks hes been phasing you our of his life. Sorry but most people are extremely connected, especially if they update their Facebook from their phone. He’s just not that into the relationship anymore. Sorry to say, with guys they don’t need the whole ‘official’ breakup at this age (there no longer teenagers). Hate to say a ‘break up text’ is a bit sad at this age. If you really feel you need to tell him that then either tell him to his face or give him a call . . . .but believe me, your message will be looked at and simply deleted with no feeling behind it.
Ask yourself, when was the last time the two of you went out on an actual date? Your generic text was meaningless, it could have been sent to anyone. If the guy can’t pick up the phone and want to speak with you daily (or every other day) then your relationship is over.
E&L | Jan 28, 2010
i wouldnt even call or text him. i would just start dating the other guy. and if he does get ahold of you tell him you so easily ignored and dismissed me. i figured i would do the same. there is nothin wrong with his phone. if you were not gettin his text he would have called you. hes blowing you off. blow him off to oh and if your friends on facebooks get pics of you and this new guy. and post them as your main pics to make sure he sees. he will really get a message then!!!

Great party ideas for a Sweet Sixteen Birthday?
I don’t really know where to start, and I don’t have a lot of ideas. I want to do something different, not just your average at home dance party. I like having activities, stuff out of the box, because my friends are all over the place and some don’t even know each other. Like, for example, for my thirteenth I hired this company that drove us all around the city in a limo and stopped at ‘haunted’ places in the middle of the night. There was even a woman dressed up in Victorian garb that told stories and read palms…I really love birthday parties, but I just have no idea this year!
Suggestions?
Call MTV and have the party televised on My Sweet 16.

Well, you can rent a place at a popular mall. Like a restaurant or something, that would be lots of fun. Another thing you can do is go to a concert or you guys can all hit up downtown toronto on a friday or saturday night. WOW :), SO MUCH FUN ! Eaton center and whatnott.

Just because it’s your ’sweet sixteen’ doesn’t make you entitled to super-extravagance, but you can have a lot of fun with creativity. Creative games are much more fun and give you good rep for being a good party host. Improv games are tons of fun. Like from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Just google ‘improv games’ and you’ll get plenty of results-they’re tons of fun, trust me. If you’re into something with costumes, just go to a local thrift store and throw whatever looks cool into the cart. Maybe as a big (additional) ‘collective’ present, you and all your friends could get some paint and a huge board and paint a big mural together or something.

Recommend any books for an 8th grader?
I usually am like clockwork when it comes to reading books. In school we are always reading books chosen by the teacher but we finished the previous one two weeks ago which gave me a chance to read any book I wanted to. My brother bought me The Perks of Being a Wallflower which I just started and finished yesterday but I’m going to the bookstore today to pick out the required school book and some of my choice.
I’m 14 and in 8th grade…please do not suggest any Twilight or Clique books. The book we will start in school is To Kill A Mockingbird.
Any suggestions? I love sad stories or mysteries but I really don’t prefer any history related ones.

At my library, they have a folder of all of the recomended books by the ALA and awardwinning books, and I usually look at that. Here’s their website, you can browse their picks– http://www.ala.org/ala/mgrps/divs/yalsa/ booklistsawards/bestbooksya/08bbya.cfm
Some of my favorite autors are Laurie Halse Anderson (I just read Wintergirls, really good), Sharon M. Draper (Copper Sun, it’s historical fiction, but still amazing), Ellen Hopkins, Gabrielle Zevin (Elsewhere, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac), Wendelin An Draanen (Runaway, hilarious and heartbreaking), and Markus Zusak (The Book Theif). All are realistic fiction.
Hope I helped!

Skin picking suicide?
I’m a Junior in college. I’ve struggled with depression the whole way but I just don’t feel I can do it anymore.
I’ve habitually picked my face since sophomore year and had a sever episode that left bruises on my upper cheeks and later left cratered scars, almost like giant pores on my face. I tried to ignore them but eventually they became the focal point of my time in college. I became depressed and excessively self conscious about the scars but managed to become more social and happy in general. Then I realized that the only thing holding me back was these scars.
I’d been researching it for a long time and decided to start using retin-a ,an exfoliant, to sort the scars out. I went to the doctor and was prescribed retin-a. I began using the drug all the while picking and squeezing at lesions that would appear on my face. I’d hardly be aware if my hand was rubbing my face and apparently scratched it in my sleep.
The aftermath? I was left with more of the same scarring I had tried to alleviate. I was asked by my little sister why ,"I had all those tiny holes on my face." I struggled and struggled with this on my own but I basically broke down and told my parents that I was suicidal.
Their response? My dad offered me lexapro, which didn’t seem to help my depression in the least. My mom offered me life advice.
I was told to drink coffee when I feel tired and just to do my work
I’ve returned for another semester but I feel so self conscious about the pits all over my skin that I’ve developed an acute social anxiety. I find it difficult to walk to class or to eat in the cafeteria, even to leave my room. I’m afraid to show people the pathetic mess I’ve become.
Recently, I even began to become seriously suicidal, even going as far as to have a method and a time for the suicide.
I told my parents but I was informed that anti-depressants probably wouldn’t do a thing for my situation.
Tonight I plan to tidy up my room, call a cab and then head to the local hospital to be given inpatient treatment for depression. Though I’ve hit rock bottom, it honestly feels as if by doing this I’m betraying the trust of my parents, possibly worse than I would be by killing myself.
Just to clarify: you’re trying to deal with depression and you worry about betraying trust? The fact that you know how bad it’s gotten and are still willing to try to work through this is amazing. And if you feel as it you’re betraying their trust, just remember that you’d be betraying their trust a lot more if you actually did kill yourself.

I’m not sure what the question is but I feel that you’re going to get through this…by booking yourself in tonight might be the best thing to happen to you and you’re doing the right thing.
You will get through this…don’t give up
I was hospitalised for depression twice last year and many things causes anxiety and self-consciousness within me.
Lexapro doesn’t work for me either but it does not mean there isn’t something out there that won’t work for you.
It’s not an easy road…but a travellable one.
Good luck

Is the Old Testament a manual of hate ?
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."1
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be executed.” NOTE God says this himself unto Moses.
"He whose testicles are crushed or whose male members is cut off shall not enter the assembly of the LORD. — Deuteronomy 23:1"
These are not my words or my interpretation these are the words of the book that Jews, Christians and Muslims follow.
So it seems the loving God these people follow not only detests homosexuality and transgender people but advocates the murder of them.
Something most in all three religions seem to believe if there honest to there own scriptures.
The only logical conclusion is that the bible advocates the hatred and murder of LGBT people.
And if you follow this then your in the same ideological category as Islamic terrorists who hang homosexuals and fly planes into large buildings.
Think about it.
Scott D and others before answering notice I do not just think it is a book of hate becouse it disagrees with homosexuality but becouse the God who proclaims it then go’s on to instructed Moses to execute gay persons.

From the evidence you provide I have to say at the very least it preaches hate against homosexual males. So God is biased even in it’s bias lol

 Death Warrant (1990)
IMDB rating: 4.90
Plot: In an abandoned house, detective Louis Burke confronts a maniac called the Sandman. Although the Sandman nearly kills Burke, Burke manages to stop him with a bullet. Sixteen months later, Burke joins a task force put together by the governor to investigate a series of unexplained deaths in the Harrison Penitentiary. While Burke poses as an inmate, attorney Amanda Beckett acts the role of his wife. In the penitentiary, Burke is forced to survive in an environment so dismal and filthy that it makes a public restroom in New York City look like a room in a five star hotel. Burke does succeed in befriending a few of the inmates, including Hawkins and Priest, who help him with the investigation. More inmates are mysteriously murdered. Burke’s cell-mate is killed, and prison guard DeGraff puts Burke in solitary confinement, where he’s interrogated and beaten. As if that’s not enough, the Sandman ends up at Harrison. As it turns out, the prisoners are being murdered for their body organs. Back on the outside, Beckett attends a party given by Vogler, the state’s attorney general. Just as she’s preparing to tell him about the murders at the prison, Beckett receives a call from her assistant, who identifies Vogler’s henchman Keane as the man behind the murders, which also involve Dr. Gottesman, the surgeon who harvests the organs to be sold to people who are in desperate need of them. The assistant’s suspicions are confirmed when Vogler tries to kill Beckett. Burke begins an escape from the penitentiary, pursued by the Sandman and hundreds of angry inmates who have been set free and armed with the knowledge that Burke is a cop. Burke and the Sandman have brutal showdown in which Burke tries to get the Sandman out of the way so he can go after Vogler, Keane, and Gottesman.

 Little Kidnappers, The (1990)

There they encounter their stern disciplinarian grandfather who has alienated himself from some of his neighbors. There is particularly no love lost between the grandfather and his Dutch neighbors, who he generalizes as being responsible for his son’s death in the Boor War. Probably a stupid question….calories/coffee?
Okay, so this questions probably silly but I’m just a bit curious
So I know a long black coffee (without any milk or sugar) has 0 calories but yet you get energy from caffeine. So if I say (this is completely hypothetical. I AM NOT attempting this!! I’m just simply wondering about how caffeine works! :P)
If you wake up and drink a plain long black and then go for a run, are you using the energy from the caffeine then once that’s gone you start burning some calories? I know you don’t burn caffeine but if you drink it your not really using calories as energy, right??
Explain if you can please.
Thank you to all who answer
Ill give the a lucky someone 10 points! <3 Lola
caffeine does not give the body energy at all because it has no calories, the way that caffeine works is that it reduces the sensation of being tired by increasing activity of alertness in the CNS ( Central Nervous System) of the brain.
