Call to send button on Blackberry Curve 8520?
I just got a blackberry curve 8520, and I think I noticed a possibly problem. The call to send button and end call buttons are usually green and red. I think that’s how they’re supposed to be. My phone is yellow for the call to send button and red for the end call button. I was just trying to figure out why its yellow and not green?

Are 85% of Americans christian?
I just saw a question saying that. Is it true? I live in england and hardly anyone’s christian. Well, proper christian, I go christmas carol services once a year, which is more than most people I know. Also does america have many muslims? I’m friends with quite a few muslims and the ones that have been said the everyone in america treated them badly and some even called them terrorists? Is this true?

Well, I can only speak for myself and what I’ve seen locally. A lot of my friends are raised Christian, or they’ll go to church, but they’re not real Christians. We have a few Muslims, I had about 2 or 3 in my high school. I don’t think anyone treated them badly at my school, but I wouldn’t doubt that in other areas of the US, they got treated badly.

The estimated number of Christians in the world ranges from 1.5 billion to 2.1 billion people, but remember… There are 34,000 different denominations of Christianity… Each calls the others "Evil", "Stupid", "Heresy", or Deceived by Satan.
So if you ask "Catholics" if all 2.1 billion people are "Christian", they would say "No." because not all 2.1 billion are the "Right Kind" of Christian. (But these are the same people that try to say that Judaism and Islam have NOTHING to do with THEIR religion… Even though both Christianity and Islam are off-shoots of Judaism.)
You also have to sift through the data and find those that actually believe and those that just say they are Christian because they were raised in Christian Families or in Christian Communities and they would be treated poorly if they admitted to either believing in another theology or none at all. (Atheism) Or people that were from a christian family and say such things as "I’m spiritual but not in to a religion."
It is FAR too hard to get a hard number about something as hard to nail down as the spiritual beliefs of billions of people.

These polls are very mushy. The term "christian" could mean a) my parents were Christians b) I’m not any other religion so I guess I’m Christian c) I believe in the basic christian ideals but don’t practice, etc etc.
you have to remember that Christianity is the easiest religion on earth. You don’t have to DO anything to be a Christian.

I don’t know the exact percentage but yes there are a lot of Christians here, to the point where there are still Christian beliefs in the government. I’m sorry to hear that your Muslim friend was treated so badly and I hate to say it but even though there are Muslims that live in America, a lot of ignorant people discriminate against them due to the 9/11 attacks and the "War on Terror" that George W. Bush began while in office. Just because of these ignorant people, please don’t judge all Americans like this. I know many many many people who love and treat people equally and only judge on character not religion or race.

Usa is full of people who say they are christian yet , they kick the dog, get drunk and stoned, have sexual perversion. When the census taker comes to your door it is politically correct to respond, " sure, I believe in God" yet I doubt that there are many who really are walking with our Holy Lord Jesus.. ..and yes Americans are afraid of Muslims

That figure may be a tad high. There was a study done by the City University of New York in 2001 that determined:
159,000,000 American adults identify themselves as Christian (76.5%)
also,
2,831,000 as Jewish
1,104,000 as Muslim

This probably means that, when asked, 85% of Americans said that they were Christians. If they had been asked "Do you have a real and personal faith in, and a love for, Jesus as your Saviour and Lord" one per cent would probably give the honest answer "Yes" and the others would say "What do you mean by that?"
When the census is taken in the U.K. every 10 years the huge majority tick the Christian box when asked about their religion but the majority of those attend no place of worship whatsoever and of those who do attend very few will truly understand why they attend or what being a Christian actually means.
David Frost asked Tony Blair, on T.V., (some years ago) "Do you and President Bush pray together?" (this was before Blair was asked the same question by Jeremy Paxman) and Blair answered "Well, what, what (stuttering in embarrassment) do you mean?" This man, the pillar of society, Anglican but soon to become Roman Catholic, did not even understand the question. You could see him wanting the floor to open up and swallow him. The majority of people claiming to be Christians when asked, also do not understand the question.

Now, these are people who identify themselves as being Christian, but it hard to know how ‘church-going’ they really are.
America has a reasonable Muslim population estimates range from 2-8 million. That really not much when you figure that Los Angeles City alone has 6 million people. The prejudice against follows of Islam is, unfortunately, very real and is caused mostly by the memories of the 911 attacks and also all the news stories about the Al Quida, etc. It is hardly ‘everyone in America’ who treats them badly, however.

but you can`t really go by pol statistics because if you check ours you will find out that about 70%
of us English are Christian (even though we both know that’s not true ) the reason for ours being so high is that most people automatically tick the Cof E box when they fill out those sort of forms even though they never went to church in their life ..so i suspect that may be the case in America too
but all said. judging by things ive read here i think its right about Americans being much more intolerant of others beliefs than we are
when i first came to this site and read the things they were writing about each other i was shocked

"Girls’ Bathroom"
Friday afternoon, Elisha stood in the bathroom mirror fixing her hair. She put a dab of lipgloss on her lips and swiped thick mascara over her eyelashes. Next to her, Megan was texting Oliver Kessler on her blackberry.
"So me and Oliver are going to the movies tonight and I was wondering if you and Mark would like to come?" she said. "Like a double date?"
"Sorry," Elisha apologized, "but we’re going to the game tonight."
Megan’s hazel eyes dimmed in disappointment. "Oh."
Elisha’s heart cracked at Megan’s hurt face. "Maybe some other time. I just love football games that’s all."
That didn’t come out right either. Megan didn’t say a word and continued on texting. Elisha felt bad. She hated letting her friends down, but sometimes she needed to do things she wanted to do.
Just then, Reese, Shelbi, and Andrea Mendez practically bombarded their way into the bathroom.
"Whoo," Shelbi breathed, flipping a dark-curl from her face, "gym class was sickening."
"You can say that again," Andrea, a short, olive-skinned girl said. Her hair was brown with blond highlights and it was pulled back intro a ponytail. "I don’t know what mouseman was thinking when he made us do those lifts.
Elisha chuckled. Andrea and Shelbi were the comic relief. No matter what, she always managed to make situations funny.
Elisha walked over to give Andrea a hug. "Who’s your date to homecoming?"
"Arnie Humphrey." answered Andrea, combing her hair in the mirror. "May not be the best choice, but it’ll do."
"And I’m taking my lovely Brandon." Shelbi crooned, looking over Megan’s shoulders who was still texting.
None of them responded to Shelbi. They all knew Pam Wheaten gave Brandon head at Stephanie Dice’s party last Saturday, but they didn’t want to say anything. Pam and Shelbi were best friends since they were two.
"What?" Shelbi asked, wondering why everyone was so quiet.
"Nothing," Reese said tonelessly, exchanging a look with Elisha.
Elisha sighed. There was too much drama. It was only the third full week at school and there was so much problems for her to deal with. It was all too much to handle.
"I’m glad I got John as a date." Reese said, checking out her raised buttocks in the mirror. "Now I don’t have to go dateless."
"Good on you, ReeRee." Andrea said. "God, does my boobs hurt."
She rubbed her left boob as the girls had to unfortunately watch.
"Oh, God, Andi!" exclaimed Elisha. "TMI?"
"Sorry," said Andrea, "but I’m like that Amanda Seyfried in Mean Girls. I’m a psychic when it comes to my boobs. The only difference is I predict my period instead of the weather."
Reese turned her head in disgust. Sometimes Andrea went a little too far.
Savannah Ripley walked timidly into the bathroom and stood in front of the full length mirror. She played with her hair for a little while before walking over to the sinks.
"Hey, Savannah," Elisha smiled. "Do you have a date to homecoming?"
"No," she said bitterly.
"Why don’t you ask Carter?" Reese asked stupidly. "I bet he’ll say yes."
"Dumbass." Elisha muttered under her breath.
Had she forgotten that he was going with Jamie?
"He’s going out with that Jamie girl." Savannah sighed.
"Oh, yeah," Reese said, coming back down to Earth. She could be spacey sometimes "She’s so nice. My best friend."
"Well, she did send me a friend request for some reason." Savannah said, putting on mascara.
"I accepted."
"Good." Elisha said. "Cause she’s such a sweet person. She’s not a bitch at all."
Savannah’s sad face transformed into a heartbreaking smile. "I know."
Savannah looked around and saw that almost every girl in the room was looking at her with commendable smiles. She was glad she was fitting in with the popular girls.
"I’ll see you later," she said, exiting the bathroom.
"Bye," Andrea waved. "Such a nice girl."
"And she’s really pretty," Megan said, with a wolfish grin. "And sweet. A terrific combination."
Uh, oh. Elisha thought. Megan’s the wolf and Savannah’s the lamb.
"Be nice." Andrea said.
"I like her." Megan said. "I just need to make sure if she’s right for my baby Carter."
Elisha shook her head. Megan meant well, but she always went overboard when it came to her male friends.
"She sent us a friend request," Shelbi said, "but we denied it."
"Why would you do that?" asked Reese.
"We’ll add her. Eventually. It’s just fun messing with fresh meat."
"Yeah, consider this a bizarre initiation." Megan said. "Like pledging for a sorority. Only we’re freshmen in high school."
"Good luck with that." said Elisha. "I’m going to meet up with Mark. Catch you all later."
As fun and cool as Megan and Shelbi where, they did come up with bizarre things when it came to people. The last time a girl liked Carter, Megan made her cry.

As the curtain rises, a single lighted reading lamp is seen at the stage left, in the corner, making a solitary stab in the darkness. Beneath the circle of light, in a chair is the MAN cowering from dark. In the penumbra, at the center downstage is a furniture arrangement. And between this and the lamp against the background is a small table with wine bottles. seen in the bedrooms; one on the left and the other on the extreme left. On the right wall still reached by the reached by the filtered light is the street door.
An urgent rapping of knuckles rips through the stillness. The MAN is startled into obvious fear. He makes one frantic move to put out the light and stands silently waiting in the dark while knocking goes on. Finally, everything goes back to silence.
The bedroom door to the left opens, streaming light across the entire room. PATRICIA appears on the threshold and crosses the room towards the street door.
The MAN moves from his corner and meets her halfway, barring he way to the door with outspread hands.
MAN: (hesitant). No.
PATRICIA: What are you doing? Get out of my way. Go back to your room.
MAN: No, no.
PATRICIA: Stop it! What are you trying to do? Get back inside.
MAN: (persisting). No! No!
PATRICIA: Who let you out of your room? (Calling.) Conrado! (The MAN still tries to
stop her.) Get out of my way I say! Go back to your room. Do you understand?

the door.)
MAN: (frantic). No, no! (Tugs at her.)
PATRICIA: Let go! What is the matter with you? Are you out of your. . . .
(Catches herself.) Conrado!
MAN: (pleading). No!
PATRICIA: (takes the man by hand and leads him back towards the bedroom door).
Conrado! (The MAN renews his protests as the other bedroom door opens adding more light to the room. CONRDO enters hastily robed.)
CONRADO: Whaat is it? Father, what are you doing here?
PATRICIA: What is the matter with you letting him out at this time of night? See who is knocking at the door.
CONRADO: (goes to the street door and opens it; looks out for sometime then turns
back, opening the lights). There is nobody out there. Mother are you sure there
was someone knocking?
PATRICIA: (iked). Of course. I am sure he must have gone away when nobody answered
him. Your fther, he kept stopping me from opening the door. Now I wonder
who it was. It must have been something terribly important or he would not
have come knocking this late. It might have been your brother Leon. Myrna is
due to have a baby any time now.
