 Kiss Me Deadly (1955)

Plot: Tough L.A. private eye Mike Hammer gives a ride to Christina, a frightened young woman he finds running along the road one night. His car is run off the road by unseen thugs. Hammer is knocked out and Christina is tortured in an unsuccessful attempt to get information from her. They are put back into Hammer’s car which then is forced off a cliff. Hammer wakes up in the hospital. Velda, his trusty secretary, informs him that Christina is dead. Pat Chambers, Mike’s policeman friend, tells him to stay off the case, but Mike thinks it might be a big story—meaning big money for him—because the FBI is interested. He, Velda, and Nick, his garage mechanic friend, start investigating in hopes of finding out why Christina was killed.

Me and my boyfriend of 2 years broke up a few days ago, and I’m absolutely devastated.
I’m a severe depression sufferer and this has knocked me back even more.
The reason we split is because we got to the point where we couldn’t stop arguing and were always at each others throats, but we truly loved each other also we lived together for almost 2 years.
He also told me that the only reason why he hadn’t asked to get engaged is because I got sectioned last year and thinks that I’m too unstable, which I totally agree with, but I still love him very much and am finding it very, VERY hard to let go.
Yesterday I ran from my parents house (where I am now living) to go to the flat where I used to live with him, and banged on the door and shouted at him, then he tried to leave so I got in the way, then he was going to go for a drive to get away from me, so I stood in front of the car. What the hell was all that about? I have no idea why I did it and that I could get so psyco-bitchy. I never used to be like that.
Please give me some advice, not the "there’s plenty more fish in the sea" or "time is a great healer, you will get over it" because I’ve heard that about 100 times over 2 days.

If you are a depressive type you should go on anti depressants for a while. Forgive yourself for the crazy behavior, it’s only love honey. Just don’t get yourself arrested. Good luck and hang in there.

Yea i honestly think you need to stay away from him while the emotions are still raw - i remember going through similar things with my ex. I think it gives men too much power to get that upset over them.
I think spend a few weeks apart from him - dont see him at all in that time - then when you are calmed down talk to him rationally about a plan. Such as you plan to go to a psychologist once a week to sort through your issues or something. Im not saying he will definitely take you back but the best thing you can do is stay away while you are in this rage and then speak to him when you are calm

ok i have a girlfriend of 4 years but if anything being with a girl is more difficult and way more fights but the first 3 years of our relationship was nothing but fighting and arguing but this last year has been amazing i have never loved her so much maybe you should call him or even better write him it seems you get out your true feeling with no yelling or arguing in a letter but all relationships are diffrent if it was ment to be he will come around if not fuck him

there is no good answer to your question. The only thing is that you need to move on. I’m going through the same situation my boy broke up with me three weeks ago and we been dating for 8 years. Im hurting right now I still love him but I got to try to get with someone else cause he is messing with other girls already. His probably doing the same thing so just hand out with friends and talk to ppl.

i been there n felt the same i couldnt get over my X n now im like ehh i hate his ass so eventually time will pass n ull b ok just avoid him trow away stuff pictures put them away n etc. move on…go on dates with other ppl that always helps.

We could be twins…. Take some time, calm down and try to do something that distracts you. Then, I would apologize, don’t make it a sob story just let him know that it’s now entirely under your control and you are sorry, and that you would like to remain friends. Once you are more stable, maybe in time you can give it another go.

Your not the first or last to go through this babe. It sucks and it hurts. Everyone copes differently. I just hope you’ll be ok. I dont know what kind of unstable you mean. But if you need to be medicated them take care of that :S. But if it’s just the bleeding heart type of unstable, just take it day by day babe. Maybe try and call him in a few days and just let him know you care about him and whenever he is ready to talk to you that you’ll be there for him. Good luck to you. xx

Well I know what exactly I would do. Get therapy, like once a week–maybe 2x per week for the 1st month. Take yoga weekly to help relax a bit, beat up on a pillow and scream in the closet when no one could hear me! Write online like your doing [only as an additional support/not primary support system]. And volunteer at an animal shelter, get a massage once a week for awhile. Take extra vitamins, and go on long walks, preferably WITH somebody and/or work out around others just to get outside myself a little. Plus do some journalling work~however w/every complaint I’d jot down or words of sorrow, write a very loving supportive follow up afterwards to help myself promote emotional healing. Maybe even some church once in awhile too. OR Buddhist meditation, I find that an incredibly *AWESOME* way to relax and be surrounded by VERY kind individuals :o)
