I want to get a house phone plan emergencies in an earthquake or power outage. I’m going to get a with-cord phone.
No its not going to be as reliable as a landline unless there is a battery backup on it. T-mobile at home uses your internet connection and if the power is out, then most likely your internt modem is turned off as well. So if you have a battery backup connected to your modem then yes it should be good for emergencies.

Here’s what I am getting at the moment. Mobile networking wizard connects ok, I get my balloon at the bottom telling me that I am connected at 115kbs, so far so good. Next to the triangles in the networking wizard box I have a constant movement on the up side but the down side just sits at 178 and does not move. Once again on opening my browser it times out. There has to be a setting somewhere that is locking me out….maybe in the phone?…..I really don’t have a clue any more. plz help me connect my w810 i sony ericsson to pc
Assuming that you are paying for a "Phone as Modem" service on your wireless plan, I would suggest that you call your carrier for assistance.

First of all you should specify which service provider you are using.
If its Airtel then you should check that the setting selected are for mobile office and not airtel live or any other.
You first get the Service Activated by sending MOA to 52818 then use the proper settings and go for it.
